Gardening is really all about soil.
These products offer tomorrows technology today. Using Do it yourself products causes you to miss the latest scientific developments in plant care. These products are only available through professional lawn care professionals.
We to rebuild depleted soils and establish viable microbial populations that will create a naturally renewable source of fertility. Each treatment is rich in basic nutrients, microbial nutrients and beneficial microbes. Microbial Nutrients include Humic acids, sea kelp and other high quality ingredients. The Beneficial bacteria are the good guys that help make the essential soil nutrients available to the turf. Your lawn will require less fertilizer, be greener, more drought and insect resistant.
While fertilizer provides nutrients to plants, it does not solve a soil fertility problem. Soil rich in humus is full of beneficial micro-organisms. Thus supporting biological activity in the soil is the long-term solution. Humus creates a soil environment that supports beneficial nematodes and also bacteria such as milky spore that combat white grubs. Many other resident microbes attack and control disease pathogens that lurk in the soil. Humus is often lacking in residential yards and the soil is typically very compacted. See Your New Yard
Surveys show that about 75% of consumers are wary of using pesticides in the home. Many people today are avoiding certain synthetic (man-made) pesticides in favor of natural or "organic" products. Indeed we feel that over use and improper use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers cause more problems than they solve in the long run.
Technically, however regardless of whether a substance comes from natural or artificial sources, if it controls pests, it is a pesticide. As long as pests are around, chances are that people will use pesticides of one sort or another. Natural products improperly used can be more dangerous than a synthetic product used correctly. However, the thought process is much the same as "IPM" .
Synthetic chemical fertilizers and pesticides are avoided in an "organic" program. Often times they are not needed in a properly managed landscape. We have a saying, if you are not mulching or composting your lawn clippings then you are only renting your fertilizer. This is true any program Organic or not.
Many plants, when healthy will not subcumb to insect pest, this is particularly true of native plants. To many, gardening seems to be all about plants. Certainly each of the seemingly infinite variety of trees, shrubs, flowers, vegetables and grasses is fascinating. Using plantings to create landscapes and gardens is challenging and rewarding.
